Design Republic and SL Green created a state-of-the-art amenity space at 100 Park Avenue to offer its commercial tenants a refined respite from the clamor of the city. Inspired by high-end hospitality design, the new space includes a club-like lounge, self-service café, and soothing wellness areas. Warm wood, natural finishes, and cove lighting create an ambiance that is both polished and cozy. Ideal for office workers looking for an off-site meeting without leaving the building, the flexible design also allows for multiple and simultaneous uses while respecting the integrity of the original floor plate with folding walls, intimate breakout spaces, and conference rooms offering full AV capabilities. In order to create this elegant respite, a very detailed study of the existing ceiling mechanical systems which limited the height of the ceiling. We leveraged a full 3D digital scan to measure every mechanical obstruction to determine the best design solutions.
