Following the merger with DTZ, Cushman & Wakefield saw an opportunity to reimagine its headquarters as a reflection of its renewed brand, culture, and future-forward business aspirations. After a thorough evaluation of potential relocations, the firm chose instead to transform its existing space—leveraging the renovation as a strategic reset.

The new workplace strategy prioritized openness, flexibility, and connection. A generous programming effort led to a predominantly open plan with a refined balance of enclosed offices and shared work zones, while thoughtful amenity spaces and hospitality-inspired client areas blurred the lines between visitor and staff experience. At the heart of the transformation is “Cushman Central,” a dedicated space designed to strengthen relationships by fostering interaction between clients and teams.

Upgrades to the 7th floor include a reimagined elevator lobby and reception sequence, while a new internal stair links to the expanded 8th floor, where additional collaborative zones and a flexible incubator space support innovation and cross-team engagement. Despite the challenges of a phased construction process within an occupied space, the resulting headquarters expresses the firm’s dynamic energy and commitment to connection.
