When Dick’s Sporting Goods and their tech affiliate, GameChanger, moved into Zero Irving—an innovative new office tower in Union Square—they sought a space that would cultivate creativity, connection, and a strong sense of shared identity. Design Republic responded with a design that reflects the collaborative ethos of both companies, creating a workplace that feels open, welcoming, and purposefully flexible.

The layout emphasizes transparency and movement, with enclosed meeting rooms pushed to the building’s corners to maximize natural light and capture expansive city views. Throughout the space, a balance of focused zones and informal gathering areas encourages a dynamic rhythm of work—supporting everything from heads-down tasks to spontaneous conversation. A central amenity zone, anchored by a sculptural connecting stair, serves as the social heart of the office. Crafted with oil-rubbed steel and warm natural oak, the stair is not only a visual focal point but also a physical and symbolic connector—drawing people together across floors.

With refined materials, thoughtful spatial organization, and a distinct sense of energy, the new headquarters seamlessly blends the sporting legacy of Dick’s with GameChanger’s tech-forward spirit—resulting in a workplace that is as inspiring as it is functional.
