For decades, GE’s Crotonville campus has stood as a symbol of the company’s commitment to cultivating leadership. But as the needs of modern executives evolved, so too did the need for a space that could inspire and support new modes of learning and collaboration. GE launched the “Reimagining Crotonville” initiative to breathe new life into its storied campus—and selected Design Republic to lead the transformation.

Working closely with GE’s leadership, we reimagined every facet of the campus experience. Spanning ten buildings—including residences, gathering spaces, and education centers—our work involved both ground-up design and the thoughtful renovation of historic structures, some dating back to the 19th century.

The revitalized campus balances tradition with innovation. New and re-envisioned spaces support a variety of learning styles—from immersive classrooms and breakout rooms to intimate lounges and telepresence suites. A new café and dining facility elevate the everyday experience, while the connecting bridge and curated landscapes create a sense of cohesion across the hillside site. At the heart of the campus, a striking new residence hall fosters connection, community, and rest.

Through natural materials, modern forms, and intentional gathering zones, the new Crotonville is no longer just a place for training—it’s a catalyst for transformation.
