When Saatchi & Saatchi prepared to relocate from their recently built downtown office to join Publicis Groupe’s headquarters at 1675 Broadway, Design Republic was engaged to navigate the transition. Working closely with both Saatchi & Saatchi and Publicis leadership, we developed a tailored workplace strategy that upheld Publicis’ established standards while addressing the distinct creative culture of the Saatchi team.

The resulting plan accommodates assigned seating at move-in with built-in flexibility for future growth, allowing for desk-sharing and unassigned workstations. A variety of agile environments—including huddle rooms, phone booths, open collaborative areas, and personal lockers—support the team’s diverse workflows and evolving needs.

At the heart of the space, a dramatic reception, bar, and lounge area sets the tone. With neon lighting, moody finishes, and a touch of irreverence (yes, even a disco ball), the space is designed to host everything from informal brainstorms to town hall gatherings. The palette of dark ceilings, crisp white and gray walls, and bold graphic elements strikes a deliberate balance—creative, expressive, and sophisticated—while remaining neutral enough to reflect client identities and branding.

Despite tight budget constraints, the design, engineering, and construction teams collaborated closely to repurpose existing elements wherever possible, delivering a highly impactful environment with strategic restraint and ingenuity.
