We worked alongside Amazon to design an 11-story office space with inventive amenities and collaborative spaces—envisioning a post-pandemic workplace. Amazon’s 335,000-square-foot JFK24 office is one on of several locations in their midtown campus. Located in a former printing house near New York City’s Hudson Yards. Working with their internal teams, Design Republic created “personas” based on typical staff members to effectively plan for employees’ needs and work styles. Flexible workspaces across the building offer comfortable options for how and where people work. But the dedicated amenity floor is the true heart of JFK24. A stocked kitchen, private café, and outdoor terraces provide panoramic views of Manhattan and plenty of opportunities for relation and collaboration. Architectural graphics inspired by Amazon’s bookish beginnings and the building’s origin help create a bright, welcoming workplace rich with meaning.
