Design Republic served as architect of record for the transformation of the second floors of 555 and 557 Broadway into a unified, 28,736-square-foot hospitality destination for Convene within the landmarked Scholastic Building in SoHo, in collaboration with design architect Marlo & Kroft. The design organizes the space around a central Forum, flanked by hospitality and collaboration areas for meetings and events. New vertical circulation and a redesigned ground-floor lobby link the two buildings into one continuous arrival sequence. Exposed brick, original terracotta, and a repurposed partition wall and fireplace preserve the structure's historic character throughout.
