In partnership with tp bennett, our London-based ONE Global Design partner and design architect, Design Republic delivered a new 190,000-square-foot office in Midtown Manhattan for King & Spalding LLP, a leading global law firm. Spanning three and a half floors, the space accommodates over 400 attorneys and staff in a light-filled environment defined by expansive terraces and a client experience built to compete on a global stage. Since initial completion, the project has expanded to take the entire 16th floor, bringing the total footprint to 220,000 square feet.

King & Spalding needed a NYC presence that could match its international growth and marquee client roster — a space that felt as much like a destination as a workplace, within the constraints of a deep-plan Midtown tower.

Design Republic led the technical design and delivery, translating tp bennett's vision into a floor plan built around connectivity and hospitality. New staircases link the practice floors to a sophisticated client center, where a range of meeting rooms, multipurpose spaces, and event areas support everything from daily business to large-scale gatherings. Curated materials and refined finishes carry a hospitality-inspired sensibility throughout, creating an atmosphere as welcoming for clients as it is for staff.

The result is a contemporary, amenity-rich headquarters anchored by sweeping terraces and abundant natural light — a workplace that positions King & Spalding for its next chapter in New York City.
