For the Match Group headquarters, we designed an open, collaborative environment where the dating pioneer’s employees can interact, hold spontaneous meetings, and make their own matches. Raw concrete walls and exposed ductwork lend a gritty authenticity to Match Group’s headquarters in New York’s Meatpacking District. Black metal door and window frames add a sparse but elegant dimension that recalls the work of architect Mies van der Rohe, whose furniture is part of the office décor. We softened the space’s industrial by adding extensive plantings and collaboration spaces featuring built-in curving banquettes and stadium-like seating for company-wide meetings.
